It’s September…which equals store shelves of spooky Halloween decorations here in my neck of the woods are thinning, poised for poinsettias and pinecones. We began our tour of inspiring French flavored Christmas inspiration HERE and continue it below.
French Holiday Decor Inspiration
Could there be a better plain French envelope for any holiday decorating than this neutral room above? I am crushing on the windows, floors, and tall glass-fronted built-ins!
You can almost smell the Christmas greenery in the cozy holiday dining space above.

While the dining room above may not scream “French,” there is something natural, effortless, and understated about the choices above.

More billowy goodness and white from that Christmasy house I love (above).
Country French & Nordic French Holiday Decor
What is your favorite interpretation of white Christmas wonder?
More of a Scandinavian light and bright holiday?

I keep forgetting about these white tulle poufs that would be so easy to create for a Christmas tree and such a sweet imaginative suggestion of snowballs or sugar plum fairy-wear.

Just in cae you have a faux fireplace when you’re decking the halls…isn’t the relaxed pile of pinecones, snow dust, and fairy lights a keeper?
It’s the blue and green and fanciful nature of the above that feels French-inspired to me.
Same goes for the pretty beadwork of this sweet tree.

And how about the warmth and cozy charm of the above table decor for a Thanksgiving mood that could linger for weeks?

Truth be told, I am one of those seat of her pants holiday decorators.

The spirit will move me at some point (or the date on the calendar when guests will arrive and send me into a panic clean/decorate/turn up the romance mode.
Sweet Christmas Decorating With a Swedish or French Accent
I hope these moments of quieter, less bling-til-yer-blind French holiday decor glimpses fill your heads with possibilities.
Because the winds will pick up and the season will soon change.

What changes inside will take root?

I’m thinking flickering candles, firelight, and the fragrance of baked goods drifting on the air.
Will the warmth begin at your front door or a mirror on the wall with a sweet wreath like this?
