January Light & Wintering Reflections

If you live in the Midwest, you know how lovely and inspiring wintry January light can be. There’s a slowness to these days that draws our attention to such beauty. Unplugged hours are becoming more remarkable for a segment of the population, and I am intentionally breathing fresh air away from cyber optic pollution. Lots of snowflakes fell last night. Gloomy, dark and shortened days in winter can feel brutal, but there’s also a seasonal quietude to enjoy.
