It’s not the most common accent color to use at home since we associate it with sweet nurseries, Parisian bakerys, Key West, and youthful ultra-tenderness.
But that doesn’t mean many of us don’t love it!

Introduce this sweet pastel with patterned curtains, pillows, dishes, vintage pottery, upholstered dining chairs, lamps and simple frames.
It can be so interesting to combine turquoise and pastels such as aqua with warm colors in unusual combinations.

Rainwashed 6211 came on my radar when I was researching haint blue ceiling colors and what Southern homeowners were choosing for their porches and ceilings.
Here it is in the Southeastern Designer Showhouse 2017 that took my breath away:
Oh that wonderful designer-packed house with its silvery blues and refined elegance! The starring greenish blue used in the kitchen is on the board below (Farrow & Ball Light Blue).
I love the idea of painting the ceiling blue of a small room such as a mud room and may do this myself!
I see no reason to scare the pants off evil spirits should they sneak in the back door!
QUIET MOMENTS Benjamin Moore 1563
Similar to Raindance and Rainwashed is this aqua paint color which has particular sweetness.
If you’re on the fence about using aqua on walls, maybe try living with it on a door or cabinet…
It also could be introduced in a room that is more private so you can get used to it and decide whether to use more of it elsewhere. Laundry rooms or powder baths could be uplifted with it.
Is Quiet Moments Blue or Green?
This paint color has both green and blue tones and is muddied with grey. Benjamin Moore says it exudes tranquility and inspires quiet meditation.
It is a pastel that French country enthusiasts may enjoy where you care to quiet the mood.
