Everything is just beginning to bud outside, and we are so ready for SPRING around here. Let’s cue the lush green landscape outdoors. Inside, it’s time for blooms and freshening up everything…who knows? Maybe these real life renovators will add floating shelves or decor to the walls in the kitchen. Sharing peeks and European-made finds from Sabavi Home I think you’ll adore!
If you’re newish to the blog, we totally redesigned this kitchen which was stuck in the 90s and did all the work ourselves.

Sabavi Home Favorites
I think you may all fall for the offerings from Sabavi Home. So many European-made wares for home! Here are a couple of favorite pieces I am happily living with at home as well as a few more I have my eye on (Mother’s Day is comin’, y’all!).
STAUB Cast Iron 3.75 Essential French Oven Rooster
Here’s Sabavi Home’s Staub Cast Iron 3.75-qt Essential French Oven Rooster in Graphite Grey.
I loved the graphite color when I spotted it online, but would it be as lovely in person? It’s always a little nerve-wracking shopping online.
However, no need to worry about STAUB since they don’t disappoint!
MADE IN FRANCE? Oui, please! Oh this Essential French Oven engraved with a rooster!
As the mascot of France, turns out he is right at home in our Modern French kitchen in Northern Illinois.
Our kitchen is understated and spare, and this pop of personality from STAUB was something I didn’t even realize I craved!
A lovely Majolica enamel involves a three-step technique so the color not only becomes brilliant visually but it morphs into something far more durable.
Such exceptional craftsmanship and timeless design for this collectible cast iron piece that blends with other Staub pieces built for a lifetime. See how reflective in this close-up (above)?
Another reason it’s a favorite? So easy to clean and no need to season the interior–its textured black matte finish ensures exceptional browning. (It is oven safe up to 500°F.)
New to cooking and baking with enameled cast iron? I have relied on such pieces for decades. Seen tons of Dutch oven artisan bread recipes on social media? You truly can achieve stellar results, and even my first attempt was ONE GORGEOUS BOULE!

Smeg 2-Slice Toaster
Here’s another fav I rely on daily in our kitchen. This Smeg 2-slice Toaster in White from Sabavi Home is too adorable to ever put away….so we don’t!
It makes perfect toast with any type of bread with its two extra-wide slots, equipped with self-centering racks for even toasting.
Even though we’re not eating a lot of toast these days (gluten-free diet), we toast corn tortillas and g-free waffles in this happy toaster with its retro look. Psst. Remember where this pantry began a short time ago?
Things improved when we repurposed a custom china cabinet original to the home…
And we lived like this for a long stretch of time! So much better now:
If you like knowing all of the particulars before you invest in this cutie, here are more bragging rights:
2 extra-wide slots and 6 browning levels provide more precise browning control. A backlit chrome knob has four functions: Reheat, Defrost, Cancel, Bagel.
The removable stainless-steel crumb tray is a breeze to use. I think my favorite feature is what has kept it looking like new. The steel with powder-coated enamel finish resists scratches and stains.
Glass Tea Infuser Mug from CRYSTALIA
Here’s one of those favorites I have my eye on: Crystalia Glass Tea Infuser:
Made from high-quality, lead-free, European quality glass and commercial grade silicone, doesn’t it seem smart and useful? Its stainless steel diffuser is perfect for herbal teas and my favorite: iced coffee. AND CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW THIS MAKES THE BEST GIFT at an affordable price point? It ships in this beautifully designed printed box:
COSTA NOVA Pearl White Serving Bowl
I can’t resist white serving pieces that are versatile enough to work for all sorts of uses so I’m also eyeing this Costa Nova Pearl White Serving Bowl at Sabavi Home (10.5″ wide, 5.5″ tall).
Costa Nova’s Pearl collection was inspired by the richness of 18th and 19th century European ceramics. So pretty, and it’s made from the finest clays in Portugal. The round shapes, beautifully embossed with a beaded edge seem just right for modern French and modern European country aesthetics.
ZAFFERANO Rechargeable Cordless Lamp
So many of you have emailed me about cordless lamps! We all seem to need at least one in our lives. This last favorite from Sabavi Home is a bit of a splurge when you opt for gold leaf. But wouldn’t it be right at home in any number of rooms (and kitchens!) where a bit of gold may warm you? Zafferano Rechargeable Cordless Lamp in Gold Leaf is quick to recharge and a breeze to move around where you need it.
Who designed this gorgeous piece? Federico de Majo, the founder and designer of Zafferano. Born and raised in Venice, Italy, his family’s glass-blowing business, Vetreria De Majo is where he learned the historical techniques of glass blowing.
More particulars about this lamp:
Touch on/off dimmable LED table lamp
Contact induction charging base with USB included
LED light with polycarbonate diffuser
9+ hours cordless illumination
Indoor/outdoor use (powder-coated finishes)
Rechargeable battery
Wouldn’t the gold leaf be stunning with the gilded iron lighting fixtures I added to our kitchen?
Peace to you right where you are.
