In the spirit of timeless and tranquil decor inspiration to which I am ever drawn, here is a resource for a personal favorite design element: linen slipcovered seating. When You Need the Perfect Linen Slipcovered Chairs: Linen Upholstered Seating may help if you’re shopping for traditional, European country, or even Modern French and classic seating for dining rooms, kitchens, and beyond. However, even if you’re not yet ready to pull the trigger, go ahead and PIN AWAY, pretty please, for future reference! BTW…not all of the links I share below are affiliate links earning this blog a commission…I love helping you discover resources!

When You Need the Perfect Linen Slipcovered Chairs: Linen Upholstered Seating Now!
Oh, and in case you missed the memo in this, my twelfth year at the helm of Hello Lovely, I have just the slightest affinity for linen. Hahahaha. And when that linen is Belgian linen? Sweet cozy Moses on a Texas sized Belgian waffle cone…color me weak in the knees!
The Belgian linen (sand color) dining chairs in our kitchen and dining area were purchased ten years ago from RH. The fabric still looks wonderful and tolerates daily use from imperfect humans who don’t tiptoe around in white gloves.
Explore the linen chairs, benches, and seating finds that follow – and be sure to read the full descriptions of all things marketed as linen. Sometimes “linen” in a description can mean anything from a linen blend to a fabric which only happens to be dyed a linen color.

Some folks may be nervous about placing linen dining chairs in a breakfast dining area, but we have been using these since our kids were in their young teens. The occasional spill happens, and we spot clean…even red wine!
This Linen Upholstered Settee Would Be Right at Home Here!
I didn’t even know a piece like this existed until I began my research for this post!
And you won’t believe the friendly price tag on this upholstered (it only looks like linen) bench for an entry or mudroom or stair landing:
If the linen bench above is out of stock, this one has a linen look but is upholstered in a synthetic fabric:

I have owned this linen slipcovered arm chair from RH for ages and it has lived in a variety of rooms.
Here it is in a corner of our bedroom where a typical sized reading chair would be too tight…
and here it is in my current closet:
A linen upholstered bench like the one below can go at the end of a bed, pull up to a breakfast dining table, or look stunning in an entry too.

Hi Laura. Thanks for reading. I have a mix in there – the lumbar ones are RH (maybe 10 years ago) and the large ones are cotton velvet from Ikea – where I think you can still find them. I have good luck finding discontinued RH stuff HERE: https://fxo.co/7elE 🙂
Thanks so much Michele! Could not be more grateful finding your blog! You are the best!

Thanks for the kindness, Laura – so happy to have you here. 🙂
Hi Michele! Love all the linen. Thank you for such a great post. Do you have a source to offer on the four legged table in your first photo? I have been looking for one just like that. Thanks!

Yes – I wanted an antique round table and couldn’t find one so I settled on this RH French empire play table since it had the small scale I was looking for! Yes – it is a kids’ table – hahahahaha. It is not the proper height for adult sized chairs though so I hate to recommend it and it has since moved into my studio. This French empire style table makes more sense and is the one I typically link to: https://rstyle.me/+OEP-a4ce0xOqIKmvRQ3uGw Hope this helps. 🙂
