My favorite thing about blogging at the moment has little to do with writing or researching decor inspiration to share. What I love is hearing from you and fielding questions in my inbox about resources, paint colors, and decor to get the Euro inspired lightened-up look I like at home. Even though I’d rather share gorgeous design work from anyone else but me (it feels vulnerable to share non-blog-worthy interiors) Decor Ideas & Secrets From Around My Humble Home addresses commonly asked questions.
I independently selected products in this post—if you buy from one of my links, I may earn a commission.

Do you still like your quartz countertop?
Sure do – read this to see why.

Secret No. 4: While we don’t eat in our dining room too often, I use this space for reading and sometimes for blogging. Just because a space is called a ‘formal dining room’ doesn’t mean it can’t be used for any number of functions beyond dining.
Resources for Bathrooms
This bench below used to live in here – but it was moved to the new bathroom we created downstairs.
Martha Stewart sconces selected for our master bath were sweetly affordable.
Secret No. 5: As I am posting all these images and products, I realize why I’m not always enthusiastic about blogging about my own home vs. other homes. Since we tackled this fixer upper DIY style and addressed every single surface, it was a LOT of hard work. When I see the photos, I remember all of the headaches and expenses. It is gratifying to know we did it…but it also makes me tired!
