After entertaining all of those white home exteriors Here, maybe you’re dreaming of sampling a designer-loved white? Let’s explore a popular paint color with plenty of images in this Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace White Photo Gallery of interiors. The color is one of those designer favorites with a reputation for trustworthiness. BM Chantilly Lace has a light reflectance value (LRV) of 90.04…very bright and will reflect a ton of light.

Hope this collection of examples of this Benjamin Moore white helps!

It may suit your trim, windows, cabinetry, bathrooms, living rooms, porches, dining rooms and exterior trim.

Is it the right white for siding? It may be too bright. Plenty of designers try to steer clients toward whites with LRVs under 80.

Isn’t that millwork gorgeous in the dining room above!?!

Overview of Chantilly Lace
This classic go-to white is one designers select again and again. Benjamin Moore says it elicits images of fresh cotton and pure silk.

What is Chantilly lace anyway? Think luxury and romance. This delicate and ornate type of lace originated in the city of Chantilly, France, during the 17th century. It is characterized by intricate floral patterns, fine threads, and often features a sheer background. Chantilly lace is typically used in haute couture fashion for bridal gowns, evening dresses, lingerie, and other elegant garments due to its luxurious and romantic appearance.
How to Make Sure 2121-70 Will Work in Your Space?
The easiest way to see if Chantilly Lace works in your own space is to try a sample from Samplize. It’s a sticker rather than a messy pot of paint.

If you like sampling with actual paint rather than a peel and stick non-messy method, here is my best advice for sampling a handful of whites:

When you want a fresh look with cool white, this color will definitely brighten the room.

Here it is in a home in West Hollywood’s gorgeous Sunset Park neighborhood.

Even though there’s a relaxed, California cozy elegance, the crispness of the white adds modernity and edge.
Is a Paint’s LRV Important?
Sometimes it is fun to geek out on the science of these paint formulas.
Chantilly Lace’s high LRV of 90.04 means it is big time light. Will it read too cold for your interior or trim? Sample to be sure.
Sometimes choosing a bright white is less about aesthetics and more about function. In a brighter room, it is easier to see and therefore safer. Safer? As we age, vision often declines. Light helps too when a room lacks natural light.
Images of Chantilly Lace on Trim and Doors
I get a lot of questions from followers about the best coordinating colors when using whites. For example, “I like this white for my cabinets, so which color for my walls and trim?”
I’m sometimes in favor of continuing the same white. For example, in our former home, we painted the walls and ceilings with OC-151 in a flat finish and the trim with semigloss.

A lot of folks like satin or even eggshell for trim too. And designers? A very famous one chooses one color for the walls, ceiling, and trim and paints them all in a single sheen! There is not just a singular way to decorate!
What Colors are Similar to BM OC-65?
You could peek at BM Oxford White (CC-30), BM Raindance (CC-680), BM White (OC-151), and BM Blue Note (2129-30) which may feel harmonious Chantilly Lace.

What Benjamin Moore colors are similar to Decorator’s White? BM Horizon OC-53, BM Seapearl OC-19, and BM Edgecomb Gray HC-173.
How Will You Know if You’re Picking the Best White?
Don’t worry about a white that happens to be trending in a particular season or what your neighbor used. The same color is going to look different in different locations. I also find that plenty of people are worried about living with white walls as if they are going to look dirty. With small children, you’ll simply be able to address any handprints or magic marker naughtiness straight away.

We’re all different creatures, and homes have different lighting situations. Be sure to sample and see for yourself how it feels and works with your belongings.

Also, if living with white walls and trim is new for you, it doesn’t mean you stop entertaining or worry about them. Life and mud happen. Paint is scrub-able and obviously is easily touched up.
How does Chantilly Lace Work for Kitchens?
Do you ever hear echoes of “white kitchens are totally out” or “buyers favor warm whites or greige kitchen cabinets if you’ll be selling.”

But white kitchens are truly timeless.

Right now it seems all things timeless are also trending. Don’t overthink it. If you love bright white kitchens, go for it.
A bonus of living with neutrals and whites? It becomes easier through the years to accent with varied colors and decor as you and your home evolve.

In terms of resale, while a future owner who loves natural wood finishes can’t easily strip white kitchen cabinets, they can always be painted a different color down the line.

For example, a warm woodsy brown color could cover the white.

And white is easier to cover than other paint colors!

Bedrooms & Baths
I love how this white looks with wood tones:
It can be chic or edgy with the high contrast of black:
It helps to see photos of this shade for interiors with varied textures and lighting conditions. Here it is in a minimal modern artsy environment where it feels gallery-like.

So do think about the objects, art, and furnishings with which you’ll pair this white.

Consider the balance and layering of warmth with cool tones, and how you can create depth, interest, and personality (especially if the room lacks architectural interest).
