7 Chic J. Crew Cool Weather Looks to #CozyOnDown proves that OMG, J. Crew is bringin’ it this season! Wow! It doesn’t even matter if you don’t love the ensembles since the individual pieces are all so wearable, versatile, and gorgeous. Pretty sure I coined the cozyondown hashie and have been stringing those words together in autumn and winter even longer than I’ve been blogging. (And that’s a good long time.)
I independently selected products in this post—if you buy from one of my links, I may earn a commission.
7 Chic Fall J. Crew Cool Weather Looks to #CozyOnDown
Also, who names the clothing and accessories because I want that job! “Teddy Sherpa Topcoat?” Oui, mon cherie, you sound so cozy I wanna adopt you. Plus, “Hoodie Tunic” is pure marketing genius since even minimalist me suddenly feels she needs multiples.
Cozy on Down Now
Let’s get real. Usually I think of hot chocolate, toast, pajamas, and fuzzy jackets when I hear #cozyondown, but there is definitely laid back cozy factor happening with these dreamy pieces.
Fall Fashion Trends
Just a reminder, I’m not overly concerned with fashion trends. Cropped and flared is not likely to work on me unless I get genetically modified. And you probably won’t catch me in yoga pants without a tunic covering my as-yet-non-killer glutes.
It’s why I love J. Crew…their timeless pieces hanging in my closet will still be there in two years.
Turtlenecks! Do you wear ’em? I have never taken a vacation from wearing them! And COOL BEANS, this season they’re cool!
As you will soon see below…LEOPARD is everydamngthing for your #cozyondown fall and winter closet.
Maybe it’s just me, but the sound of TISSUE TURTLENECK sounds awfully poetic since J. Crew’s tissue tees have always been an essential layering piece for moi.
Fashion is Still Fun
And watching fashion change season to season is still fun in the midst of so much grown-up seriousness and global unrest. After all, I need to pay attention so I know whether I happen to be ‘on trend’ or ‘bucking it.’
Let’s do this, mama.
1. Teddy Topcoat + Pencil Skirt + Hoodie Tunic
At first blush, I thought, “why, oh, why do we need to grunge-out with this pretty skirt?” I can’t see myself wearing the hoodie with this look, but I still want the hoodie. And after staring for a measure of time, I’m tempted to try a bit of grunge factor if only because it looks so cozy!!!!
2. Pine Green + Leopard + Headband
So classic and easy to wear, and the green is so darn fresh.
3. Stripes + Plaid + Geometric Bag
The photo doesn’t show off the killer scarf with its warm autumn yumminess, but I am loving how powerful this ensemble feels.
4. Silk Blouse + High-Waisted Jeans + Coat
Leopard is sooooooo having a moment. Again. And these slouchy jeans have my name all over ’em.
5. Bandana + Blazer + Buttons
I have a couple velvet blazers from J. Crew, and I love the fit so much. Have you worn a very Frenchie bandana this way yet?
6. Beanie + Stripes + Fleece in Fresh Green
Isn’t this fashion shoot done in Copenhagen beautiful? If there’s one piece we should all probably spring for (unless you’re reading this from Hawaii…in which case, can I come stay with you?) it’s this leopard beanie. I love the coverage as I’m so tired of those short ones that don’t keep my little ears covered.
7. Leopard Sunnies + Scarf + Leopard Dress
It is a dress from J. Crew with pockets so I’ll probably have to go try it on. I think it would be a wonderful layering piece since you could throw a sweater over it and pull on a pair of boots.
Smart Fashionable Glasses for Fall
My last post was a love letter to Warby Parker where I order my glasses, and you’ll find plenty of reasons there to crush on the brand. Is it possible the same creative genius that names the product for J. Crew also works magic at Warby Parker…swoon?

Random Yet Fashionable
So happy to share that I am having more good days than bad. It may be too soon to say I’m back in remission (lots of tests and doctor appointment on Saturday), but if I am…iiiiiiii wanna swing from the chandelieeeer (and I may).
Holding on to hope and getting fon-kay with the Scary Pockets’ cover of Sia’s song below…guest Stan Taylor whose vocals will blow your mind. BONUS: Stan is wearing a pajamas as if he knew this post’s theme was #cozyondown.
If you live near Seattle, Portland, SF, or LA…sweet cozy Moses on a wafflecone, they’re performing near you soon.
Methinks we need a slow jam with Stan singing us out. Should your time be short…forward to 1:30 when Stan comes in.
Peace to you right where you are.
