I hope you are feeling much better soon and get some answers! Just curious-has pancreatitis been ruled out? The symptoms are so similar to the ones that you describe. Best of luck!

Pancreatitis was definitely on the list and of great concern, but they don’t think it’s that. Pretty sure we’re looking at Crohn’s flare or gallbladder disease (haven’t yet found stones). Hope to learn more tomorrow! Thank you so much – it’s so kind of you to offer help.

I found two Marcel Breuer chairs on the curb of a neighbor’s house recently. After seeing them sit out in the rain for several days I finally grabbed them and have covered the seat in an animal print fabric. I don’t see any on the internet that have the leather woven back that mine have. Thank you for your post on this as I now have a name for them!

OMG. What a fabulous curbside find! Animal print is fabulous on these! Thanks for adding to the beauty here – love it!

    Hi Michele,
I’m with your Mon, I love some black in a room! I’m so sorry that you’re in such pain. What a wicked disease Crohns is. You’re on my daily prayer list, my friend 🙏

Oh, I do hope they find the cause of your pain soon. It saddens me to think of you suffering so.
    Blessings ~ Joanna

What a month it has been! I hope to get more news tomorrow and to receive more guidance for treatment. I have been so humbled by this illness – my compassion is heightened right now for those in pain, for those suffering, for folks who must be on powerful meds, and for folks who self medicate because they have so few options (or no insurance!) and such great hurts. How can I not already be thankful for what this illness has awakened in my spirit? I’m ready for it to end, but I recognize in my depravity that I am being shaped into something different. Peace to you.

I’ve read again and again that every room should have some black but like you, I don’t feel it fits with my aesthetic. Besides, design rules are just guidelines. Our homes are personal space and we each put our stamp on it. If we all liked the same thing, how boring would our world be.
I have the most darling little French bistro set on my back porch and yes, it is black. I’ve had friends borrow it for a set on an auction night for Hospice and for a theme party. Outside is where I have my black accents/furniture. It just seems to fit the surroundings.

Yes! And I let the house tell me what it wants. Minimal black is what I hear whispered. But outdoors? I love the idea of a black bistro set – such a pretty silhouette outdoors contrasting with all the greenery.

I love touches of black in a room. And black and white stripes. Im drooling over the white butterfly lounge chair! I had a set of Breuer dining room chairs too! Beautiful and classic. Oh Michele, you can certainly grumble, complain and be crabby. I’m praying this stomach flare-up ends now! Xo

THANK YOU so much. I feel so much shame about the irritability – my folks are visiting and I can’t stand being this unpleasant with them and my family. I know I need to keep forgiving myself. I’m ready for the healing and can’t wait for brighter days! xox

    Dear Michele,

I so feel your agony of chronic health questions and where our faith plays in. A year and a half ago I suffered with chronic nausea with no diagnosis. I was so miserable and GRUMPY! How my heart cried out to the Lord. I finally met an incredible doctor at the Cleveland Clinic that was able to diagnose and medicate me. Another doctor recommended an alternative med to take care of my symptom of nausea. I am so thankful everyday that I am no longer housebound and living my life. I am praying you find the same relief. Hugs to you today!

Oh, Kristin, thanks so much for the support and for joining me. I hope your symptoms have subsided as I know this irritability so well these days. Leaning into Grace daily. I am hoping to learn more tomorrow from my scan today. I’m very grateful that through all of this, my appetite is strong – I consider this to be a great blessing my whole life long – even during Crohn’s flare-ups, I was able to sometimes avoid hospitalizations because I kept eating and kept feeling ravenous. I have conserved my energy, eaten small amounts, and not lost weight in the last week which is a small miracle. Thank you for the hugs and comfort.

I do love some touches of black in rooms. Also black and white stripes! I’m drooling over the white butterfly lounge chair! Michele, I also had Breuer chairs many years ago. Classic design that will not go out of style. I’m sure hoping you are feeling better soon…never give up on prayer! Sending virtual hugs. Xo
