Mother’s Day is approaching, and I have an unusual mix of gift ideas: a pillow, a bag, a kitchen splurge, and an item on my wishlist! Affiliate links follow and when used for purchases may earn me a small commission.
My mom is relatively easy to shop for because she has treasured collections (all things royal family and DIANA) and loves books. Here she is at age 3, close to tears but with a cherry lifesaver in her mouth:
Here is a pillow that has modern graphic appeal and would work within almost any design scheme:
I spotted the pillow first in this Florida cottage…
I love how Maria of Dreamy Whites uses French market baskets, and maybe MAMA will want one too!
Here’s that kitchen splurge I mentioned. It’s the model I have, and it truly does make healthy smoothie making a breeze in addition to batters and more. I made a flourless chocolate cake with it here.
And here’s what is on my list. I give reflexology treatments and massages to family members all the time, and this will make things more comfortable for everyone. Reflexology became a regular part of my healthcare a few years ago in managing pain from scoliosis, and I am self-trained now.
Certain iconic images stick with you forever. Being a mother is surely the most heart-changing journey on earth.
Swedish artist Sanna Dullaway enhanced this famous image with color.
We are all so different, but we all have a mama, and for a period of time we didn’t even know we were separate from her. In a similar sense, I try to remember I am never truly separated from God and keeping my eyes on him is where the glory is.
Peace to you right where you are.
