My Christmas shopping is done, and I am ready for the holiday season’s pace to slow a little so it doesn’t completely slip away when I’m not looking. That means, it’s time to hang some pretty white lights, make a wreath or three, bake Christmas cookies, gather friends together, and maybe even decorate a gingerbread house. I must be extra intentional about planning these Christmas activities since I will be traveling to Arizona in just a week. My side of the family is gathering there this year for the holiday, and it is bound to be a Christmas for the books. Ugly Christmas sweater pool party, gag gift exchange, basketball games, dance-offs, and shenanigans in flipflops are on the agenda. (While I didn’t have time to decorate our vacation house for Christmas when we were there for Thanksgiving, I hope to create a few handmade holiday decorations with my nieces and nephew who live around the corner!)
Here’s a collection of not so much Christmas decorating ideas, but more cozy and simple Christmas lifestyle moments that capture the beauty of winter, nature, wonder, and Christmas dialed down to a slow living pace. I hope you’ll find these heartwarming holiday moments pretty enough to pin and share to your holiday Pinterest boards and with your friends.
