Here’s the thing. There are lovely design sites, and then there are…HELLO? Impossibly chic and beyond lovely sanctuaries like the Amara-nominated and inspiring, Design Chic. Find me at their site today sharing ways to savor FALL BEAUTY. A fun secret: our blogs have grown up together. Yep. We were there for each other at the beginning, and I fondly recall Kristy’s exciting pre-Baby Will and nursery decor posts! We have blogged about interiors since everyone’s walls in America first turned grey, Justin Bieber sported shaggy-shiny bangs, and I was sharing TMI and blaming hormones for every. little. thing. I’m so grateful to have familiar friends here today!
Good morning, Hello Lovely readers! We are Beth Woodson and Kristy Woodson Harvey, the mother and daughter behind Design Chic, and we are so excited to be here with you today. As long time fans of Michele and her gorgeous style, we are thrilled to be able visit with all of you and celebrate one of our favorite seasons: fall!
We’ll admit it, we’ve been pretty sad about saying goodbye to summer…
But then we remembered that we aren’t just saying good bye to beach days and lazy schedules. We’re saying hello to bonfires, boots, and pumpkin!
And perhaps a gloriously gorgeous, too-good-to-be-true sandal in our favorite fall shade? It will pair perfectly with the blacks and browns and creams that seem to be our fall staples.
It’s the perfect time to add a cozy throw to the living room — with bonus points for a pop of pumpkin!
And bring a fabulous herringbone print into the season with a throw that transforms seamlessly through every season.
The warmth of fall shades draw us back inside, bracing against the weather that will soon turn cold.
And keep us cozy as can be all fall long.
In the perfect nail shade for tailgating and raking piles of leaves…
Or a chic accessory that livens a neutral space, pumpkin is always spicy.
Wishing you a fantastic last few days of summer and a weekend with plenty of time to curl up with a good book and savor a beautiful view!
Speaking of good books, I (Kristy) am an author and, if you’re looking to add another novel to your TBR pile, I’d love it if you’d check out Slightly South of Simple (Simon & Schuster, 2017), Lies and Other Acts of Love (Penguin Random House, 2016) or Dear Carolina(Penguin Random House, 2015)!
Thank you so much, Michele, for having us to your stunning corner of the world today. It was such a pleasure to be here with your friends!
What a treasure trove of fall lovely you’ve shared, Kristy…thank you so much!
