Well, what do you know, fall has arrived, and I had to turn on the heat today! While it still looks summery on my front porch, I am beginning to collect my thoughts about how I will bring sights, smells, and textures reminiscent of autumn to our home.
Have you been visiting the guest posts of my stylish friends around blogland who have been sharing fall inspiration? I am so happy to have their rich contributions, and there is more fall goodness coming so stay tuned!
Our house does not look like a quiet, cozy cocoon yet. More like a danger zone since at the moment I’m deep into that seasonal organizing/nesting phase where everything gets pulled from closets and cupboards…things have to get worse before they get better!
Fall is also the time I feel the itch to paint, and I have been transforming an armoire that has been in the family as well as touching up walls. Soon I will be painting canvases and creating more vintage book cover collages I love so much. Truly there is nothing like being in that meditative zone with a wet paintbrush, completely immersed in my heart and the art, without a care in the world. I will try to stock my shop with art and handmade pieces this year in time for the holidays…last year it just wasn’t in the cards with our renovation projects in full swing.
How ’bout some inspiration with a ‘slow living’ flavor and an invitation to become a little more still and quiet? Yes? Ready…set…PIN!
