Swedish & Slightly Shabby Chic {Lovely Finds}

Giannetti Home (Photo: Lisa Romerein)

I’m in the mood for Swedish and slightly

shabby chic interior design today, and

for me that means painted furniture

you instantly recognize as Swedish

or Swedish inspired, a soft neutral

color palette, vintage objects, warm

wood floors, and timeworn elegance

that isn’t fussy or hands-off.

The bedroom design* above?

It’s not shabby as much as

relaxed, timeless, and natural…

so think of shabby chic in a broad

sense of the style which encompasses

a multitude of interpretations.

*If you follow Brooke Giannetti’s Velvet and Linen blog

then their French Normandy beach house project

(in Luxe magazine) is probably old news to you,

but in case you missed it,

oh, mama, get ready to fall in love with

everything modern farmhouse dreamy!

Let’s explore some Swedish inspired,

slightly shabby chic moments including

a mood board I put together with

lovely options you can bring home.

Onward.

Mud Room – Becki Owens (Paint Color: Sherwin Williams Dorian Gray)

Omg.
Are you loving the mudroom above that to me
feels Swedish and awesomely beautiful?
The tile has my name on it, and just when
you thought you could not see another room
with shiplap!

One Kings Lane

I love the timeworn metal bed and side table
in this modern farmhouse bedroom (above),
and the sumptuous white linens just beckon,
don’t they?

Here is a beautiful dresser (One King’s Lane)
which to me, marries the simplicity of
Swedish and shabby chic in a lovely way.

I would love to re-create somewhere in
our Arizona getwaway?

It has feminine glam for sure!
Let’s go back to that French Normandy
beach house the Giannettis recently completed
and check out the powder room.

I’m dying over the stone top and stone
slab backsplash with its refinery and genius.

Next up are 7 of my picks for a summery Swedish
and slightly shabby chic bedroom in case you
have fallen for this combo.

The sources are a couple of my favs:

I’m crazy about the soft blue-grey check
upholstery in this bedroom with a gorgeous
oval window and dancing starfish.

This slipcovered chair has been on my radar
(maybe for the Arizona living room) since
it’s at a great price point and looks so comfy.

THANK YOU for picking two of my items to showcase in this post. We are currently working on more new introductions for October market: a Gustavian bench, demilune table, bed and another desk. Lovely is a perfect word for all these casual but elegant Swedish looks.
