I shared a few months back how a sunbathing past
did zero favors for my complexion and inspired
a #healthybeautybrainstorm and quest for
high quality healthy options to repair and improve it.

Before I dive into reviews and beauty, can I just
mention a word about links to products here in posts
like this one? You won’t pay anything extra
by using the links here for purchases, but I will
make a few cents…it HAS taken a little time to craft
lovely for this site…almost in my 8th year of Hello Lovely!!!!
Taking care of our skin is as much a health matter
as a vanity one, and because of my diagnosis with
BRCA mutation in 2013, I have been more
concerned with both protecting it and insisting
upon high quality, non-toxic skincare products.
My complexion and lines are in better shape
since using the products, and I can’t gush
enough about the yummy factor.
I want to eat them.
I use them day and night, and although
you will not find the YBF line at Walgreens…
they are just a click away.
I mentioned last time that I would be adding
these YBF babies
to my routine, and I have become a fan!
I have spent a lot of time in Arizona lately
and clearly appreciate how climate can have
devastating effects on our skin, which is why
these two products became blissful balms
for my normal to dry skin this summer:
A healthy addiction? Um. Yeah.
I happily derma-plane once a week.
DERMAFLASH Facial Exfoliating Device
Yep. I mean.
It is delicate yet contains a computer!
The value comes in when you calculate the cost of
multiple derma-planing procedures in a med spa.
It does not involve harsh chemicals which
could irritate and are clearly undesirable
if you are on a healthy beauty quest.
Fuzzy wuzzy with sensitive skin? Check.
Ready-von-ready to glow? Oui.
An option without chemicals and razors?
Another healthy beauty brainstorm find
containing a super healthy ingredient…
Use the code HELLOLOVELY for 25% off at Rejuvel
Rejuvel made from callus cells within…green tea.
In addition to trying to drink more of this stuff
to inhibit cancer cell growth,
I have also been using a product containing it called
My neck has taken a liking to this dreamy serum
since this is the part of me which tends
to reveal my sun-worshipping past
as much as anything.
Does it soften my crepey neck skin
and not-so-fine lines without
Y e s .
While my neck doesn’t look photoshopped,
lines do look and feel softer and smoother.
Are you beauty-ed out sufficiently yet?
Because I have another recommendation I have to share
which has made a noticeable difference in the health of my hair:
Aveda Shampure is a line I forgot about temporarily then
rediscovered happily…the scent is magic.
Don’t just take my word for it,
a reviewer on Amazon said it must be made from:
“The tears of hysterically laughing angels riding unicorns
as they prance over rainbows with kittens in their arms.”
I must concur, adding only that the kittens are dressed
in pale pink Rodarte couture tutus.
Using the Shampure shampoo and conditioner
and taking these Hair, Skin and Nails Supplements
has royally helped out my fine, fragile tresses that
looked awful back when this photo was taken:
Peace to you right where you are…
…in whatever skin you’re in!
