Travel Inspiration: Manhattan in December

Can you guess what store this is in NY?

Ding ding ding.

Yep. Anthropologie.

the lines were a mile long, yet

I hardly noticed.

It’s tough to resist a bitchen dishtowel.

And I love the wood plank walls.

Do you know this book on the table

Handmade Home?

You should!

Never met a lamp from Anthropologie

I didn’t like, and this hippity hop bunny one

aint no exception.

Left with two deelish tops,

one linen, one silk, both blush pink and

both under 20 smackeroos.

My writing life keeps me tied to the computer

so it was wonderful to be out and actually

up close to one of the amazing publishers

with whom I have worked…Rizzoli!

Chanel inside this store…

‘Twas my first visit to Bergdorf Goodman.

I see what the fuss is about.

To macarons at Laduree.

Which are honestly worth the wait.

I shared this box with a few friends

when we returned home.

And one more thing!

We saw Harry rockin his incredible Harry self

on Broadway even though he played the character

of a delusional psychiatrist in 1974.

Thanks for tagging along with me!

Ever visit this city during the holidays?

Peace to you right where you are.

My friend and I where in NYC the second weekend of December. On the sunday night we went to Rockerfeller Center to see the tree and could not get anywhere near it..It was crazy..I have seen crowds in new york but this was just off the scale. Had a wonderful time…always do in the city..looks like you enjoyed it too. What did you think of Bergdoffs? The windows always just creep me out..guess I am just to old or too conservative for them haha. Cheers Frances

as i get older, i seem to lean toward a measure of what a lot of other people think of as creepy so i loved em!

Oh Michele…I love your photos of NYC! That is one amazing place. I live about 50 minutes outside of NY and do go up often to catch a show, dinner, shop, just walk around, or as I did this past November, run the NYC marathon. There ain't not place like New York City!!!Thanks for sharing your beautiful pics!!!

Girl, I'm tingly all over! Uhm – TMI? Seriously, my dream is to visit NYC and spend days exploring the shoppes. I'm there in spirit, Michelle. Hugs!

We used to live there and my husband still works there around the corner from Bergdorf's. I'm still there almost once a month but avoid it during the holidays…lol, I hate crowds and claustrophobia. But I love the city but not for living. Looks like you had a great time!

I've never been to NYC tho, but thanks to you for sharing.

And Mich, why did you show to me all those Anthro extravaganza? Now I desperately want one blue glass, the bunny and the lamp. Why did you do this? Lol.

Have a lovely week sweets. Oh, I am now following you on Twitter. Did i already tell you that? Sorry if i already have.

Anthropologie IS so gorgeous – just visited the store on Regents Street, London for the first time on Monday.
I would love to visit NY again, I went about 25 Years ago !
    All the best for 2012.

    Weren't those BG
    windows AMAZING??
    I took photos of almost
    every one ~ my daughter
    was also smitten! There
    is NOTHING like NYC
    at the holidays. We
    missed Anthro and
    LaDuree as we were
with BOYS : ) We did
    manage to drag them
    into McKenzie-Childs,
    which was beautiful.
    Thanks for sharing your
    fun trip!

    xx Suzanne

Wow, looks like an amazing trip, you lucky lady!

I did get to the Regent Street, London Anthro shop not too long ago (took a bit of a detour when I was in London for work – shhhh don't tell my boss) and it certainly did not disappoint. Just amazing eye candy everywhere you look!

Big hugs to you darlin! xxx
