French Macarons DIY: Hello Lovely Macarons {attempt no. 2}

Pink macarons on pink swirl Fireking vintage plate by Hello Lovely Studio

Les Macarons, attempt deux!

Just short of perfection, and just for the party via Today’s Creative Blog!

Happy results after the following adjustments to attempt #1:

Pink roses in white ironstone pitcher

Adjustment no. 1:

They’re cookies.

Fading velvety pink roses on table inspired the color.

Adjustment no. 2:

Seek assistance from offspring.

(Who were not forced into formalwear…they insisted.)

Adjustment no. 3:

Healthier buttercream.*

I love the oxymoron that is ‘healthy buttercream’ don’t you?

Tackling the adjusted recipe is less likely to trigger hives/panic attacks a la last week’s Swiss Meringue challenge.

*Healthier= 1/3 the fat and still tastes fabulous.

on chance, mes amis!

Peace to you right where you are.
