My Trip to Paris: Merci Store

Anyone care to escape with me to Paris
for a little window shopping???
Because while visiting a few weeks back,
I snapped a zillion pictures for us to enjoy
and would love some company…first stop:

Step through Merci’s charmingly
private courtyard entrance and prepare
for enchantment…and the sweet knowledge
that profits from Merci go to charities.

What can we buy here?

Like so many interesting Paris shops,
Merci offers quite the eclectic mix…things for
your home, your wardrobe, your mind, your soul.

The tiles surrounding the counter blew me away,
and my mind went straight to the thought that
I should immediately open a shop centered
on the vibe of this tin.

I’m a dreamer.
You know the type.

How charming is this cafe tucked away in
the shop?? So quiet and special and just
right for re-charging the batteries.

Audrey Hepburn corner.

This is not a thrift shop so I only left with a
super cute cookie stamp (leaves the impression
‘merci’ on the cookie) and a badge designed by
creative goddess Paola Navone…I’ll wear it on
a denim jacket or tack it on a tote.

Can you spot me paying for my treasures?

We have more shopping to do, k?

And I think I’ll give you some peeks
of our paris apartment next time, oui?

Peace to you right where you are.

Thanks for taking me back to one of my favorite shops in Paris! Oh, how I would love to do my Christmas shopping there this year (when we went in November a few years back lots of my gifts came from Merci!) What I love the most about this store is that it's always different and you never know what you'll find. Looks like it was full of incredible gorgeousness for you! That Audrey corner is a dream. Think I need to paint that! Merci for the little dream shopping spree! XOXO

Beautiful Michele!! I went shopping there too..and bought a little something ;). We walked for what seemed like days and then, not knowing about the narrow court yard entrance, thought we had the address wrong. The little red car was there:). Love all your photos! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving 🙂

I was wondering if it was a high end kind of goodwill or thrift shop. I think i would have loved it there, especially the little cafe tucked in with all the books… too cool!

i didn't spot any bargains here. the apparel was pricey–merci sells designer duds at 30% off department store prices, with all the proceeds going to charities. so it's not a thrifty shop.

there is a mix of price points, and the kitchenware section had some cool stuff at reasonable prices.

Fun to see the way they've tweaked the place in a matter of a few weeks
    – thought Merci had quite a Scandi feel somehow.
I came out with a diary for next year & a ton of photos 🙂

    The exchange rate in
    the UK is not favorable
    for US shoppers, either,
    and I came home with
    just a few things….but,
    I did enjoy feasting with
    my eyes and heart! This
    shop looks so charming
and I love the cafe spot.

    Off to see the apartment!

If I ever get back to Paris……which is highly unlikely after watching the movie Flight the other day…..scared me for a while from flying…..
