The Comfortable Home: How to Invest in Your Nest and Live Well for Less

Sharing decor/design titles
I love most from my collection
is one of my favorite elements of blogging.

Bet you are familiar with the design work of
Mitchell Gold and Bob Williams
who authored
The Comfortable Home
(Clarkson Potter)
and filled it with an impeccable
sense of style plus practical advice
for investing in your nest.

"Proper planning will help turn a house into a sanctuary."
         (Mitchell Gold & Bob Williams)

More than just handsome and smart,
the book shows us how to put together
rooms we can actually LIVE in.

Don't miss the wallcovering featured
beginning on page 63!!!

p.s.
Is the subtitle
(on the cover of this gem)
LIVE WELL FOR LESS
as sexy to you as it is for me?????

  1. Smokin' sexy, girl! It's so funny that you should feature this particular book. The builder of our current home gave this book as a house warming gift! L-O-V-E it! Thanks for the kinds words you left about my mini makeover! Huge hugs! Much love, Lisa

  6. I love Michell Gold and have two sofas in my home from them. Even though the sofas are 16 years old they're timeless. I'll have to get this book since I love their work.

  13. I have always thought
    "classic" about their
    furniture and design,
but not in the stuffy kind
of way. This looks like an
    inspiring book!!

  15. In our home, we are all about living well for less. Don't really have a choice in the matter, since I decided to give up a well-paid corporate job to follow dreams (which pays a few bills but any dreams of owning Manolos are out the door!), but it's a great way to be and I've never been happier. Makes us be creative with everything!

    Hugs hugs,
    Meera xx

  16. Totally agree with our girl Meera up there! ;) Definitely love the motto of living well for less! As lovely as the idea would be to have unlimited funds to throw at my home, I know (aside from being completely unrealistic) that not having lots to throw around makes me much more creative and I think the outcome tends to me much more interesting and less formulaic in the long run.
